Above is my first baby cockatiel. (There are 2 more babies this year, They are just 3 months old and 5 months old...Learning to whistle etc.). Above left; is of first baby cockatiel just hatched, January 001. Right; 1 day old. middlerow: left; 3 weeks, right; 4 weeks. Bottom left: 5 weeks and so cute! Then to the right "Baby" is checking out the christmas tree... This was the sweetest little guy and he was so special. Well, its Dec 2002 and there is a new baby. I heard it in the nest this morning. So that is number 4 now....The other two babies are doing well. One is whistling and trying to talk, Well we had a dozen babies over the next few years and I then lost the daddy, he was so beautiful and seemed so healthy. I do not know what happened. I sold 6 babies and lost 1 out the door on Mothers day. I was very attached to Baby who is looking over Santas shoulder above. He talked and sat on my shoulder and was like my shadow. He died and I was heart broken. I buried him in a red velvet box in my yard..
This is 8 year old Madison, or "Madi" and she is the sweetest cockatoo I could ever hope to have. She was given to me last year and I just love her, I am so thankful to her first mommy for finding in her heart that Madi would have a good home with me..
My precious Lacy,
my little teeny poodle who I have had eight years now. She is silver, and my little companion. She warned me when she was just one year old when my tv was smoking and about to catch on fire. She is my little angel.
Above picture is Lacy and myself when she was just a puppy and so tiny. Her ears stood straight up, she looked so funny. Everyone teased and said she looked more like a little bat. She weighs just 3 lbs 10 ozs. I credit her with saving my home and maybe my life.. I was at the opposite end of my mobil when she kept barking, running back and forth till I followed her to the living room. I was getting ready for work and egnored her at first, but she persisted. I was totally shocked to see smoke rising from my television, It was so hot it was ready to burst into flames. I grabbed the cord to unplug it and called 911. If I had not followed her I have no doubt I would have lost everything...
April 2007 - Lacy is 13 years old now and such a precious little thing. I cant believe how good she is doing. I have never had a little one this long and so very pleased as she is like my baby...I cherish every day I have with her. She is like my little angel.
